Vivaldi releases version 1.12 with three usability oriented features requested by users

Vivaldi is a browser oriented towards power users by from Opera co-founder and former CEO Jon Stephenson von Tetzchner. Version 1.12 of the browser has been released with three new usability oriented features that were requested by users.[caption id="attachment_4068057" align="alignleft" width="380"] Image: Vivaldi.[/caption]Vivaldi now has an integrated image properties browser, a feature oriented towards photographers and designers. Users do not have to download an image and open it in another application, or install a plugin to browse through the properties of any image they come across on the web. Right clicking on an image and selecting the Image Properties option displays a sidebar with metadata such as the file name, url, depth of field, ISO, exposure, focal length, dimensions, time, date and software used to process the image. A histogram, the colour space and white balance of the image are also displayed.Henrik Helmers, designer at Vivaldi says, "Photography and design experts will appreciate instant access to the multi-channel histogram and raw data. Bloggers can easily get the dimensions of the image. Photo enthusiasts can use this new feature as a tool to learn more about their hobby."More contextual information is available in the download panel now. The download panel now displays the file name, download speed, download URL, destination folder, and date and time. Users can sort the downloads by name, type, size, date added and date finished. Users can also now adjust the saturation of the colours in website themes. The Appearance tab in the settings now has a "Limit Accent Color Saturation" slider.The previous version, 1.11 had a brand new icon for Vivaldi and added controls for GIFs.
