Upcoming Google Glass models to skip on the glass display

According to a report from The Information, Google’s Project Aura (Google Glass) has three models planned in the coming year. More importantly, out of the three new Google Glass devices, Google will be using a display only on one of them, while the other more consumer-friendly ones will rely on audio.While there is plenty of news about the Enterprise Edition of Google Glass, it will be the only wearable in the new range to retain the prism-like Glass display.As for the remaining two models, they will not sport the Glass display module and will rely entirely on the bone conduction technology (used in the current Glass models) for audio guidance.And all of the above indeed makes us wonder whether Google will retain the ‘Glass’ branding or move on to something else (since there is no “glass” available on it). More importantly, with the pricey glass display out of the way, we could see a price drop for Google’s new toys.While the Enterprise version will find proper usage in business, the two new models skipping on the display may see potential buyers lose interest. However, expect it to look less obvious compared to the current iteration that makes its users look like Androids.
