The more affordable 6.1-inch Apple iPhone model, will feature a full screen design with same notch hosting the True Depth sensors like on the currently available iPhone X.

The comparative sizes of the three new Apple smartphones expected in 2018.[/caption]As reported by MacRumours, Kuo in a recent research note explained that the new 6.1-inch iPhone model will feature an LCD display as opposed to the OLED units on the more premium new iPhone X and iPhone X Plus models. Both the second generation iPhone X and the X Plus models will feature 4 GB RAM and the expected larger batteries as well.As for the smaller and more affordable 6.1-inch iPhone, it will reportedly be manufactured by Pegatron, Foxconn, Wistron. Pegatron will manufacture the biggest chunk with 60 percent share, while Foxconn and Wistron will take up 30 percent and 10 percent respectively. As previously stated, the 6.1-inch model, will feature a full screen design with same notch hosting the True Depth sensors like on the currently available iPhone X. The handset will support Face ID, Animoji and feature a 8.5 percent bump in battery life. As far as pricing goes, we can expect the 6.1-inch model to retail for $700 to $800 in the US.Using an LCD display is just one of the many cost cuttings options Apple has gone in for with what we all believe is an iPhone SE replacement. Switching to an aluminium chassis instead of steel used on the premium models along with the expected lack of 3D Touch are other areas where Apple reportedly has cut costs on its affordable iPhone. Another watered-down feature would be the camera. While all the new iPhones in 2018 will feature dual cameras, Kuo claims that the 6.1-inch model will feature a single camera instead.
