Udacity launches new platform to test code in simulations representing a real-world environment

Udacity, a global online learning platform that provides courses to students and professionals has announced a new facility that allows its students to implement the learned code in a real-world testing environment. The new facility will be available for the students of its Robotics Software Engineer Nanodegree programs, Self-Driving Car Engineer and the Flying Car Nanodegree Program.[caption id="attachment_4317343" align="alignleft" width="380"]

Udacity website.[/caption]The new facility called as KUKA Robot Learning Lab installed at Karlsruhe Institute of Technology in Germany, will provide an exclusive web interface to put their code on a real robot and watch the results via a video feed. Another facility called as 'Udacity Universe' will help the learners to simulate self-driving and self-flying vehicles in urban and rural landscapes to tackle complex mobility challenges.Ishan Gupta, the Managing Director of Udacity India, said, “As the field of autonomous system matures, people being hired in the sector are expected to have real-world experience in programming, but access to such learning resources is highly limited."He also added "Our initiatives in Robotics Learning Lab and Udacity Universe will prepare our students with extraordinary real-time experience equipping them with cutting-edge skills. Our partnership with industry experts like KUKA and Karlsruhe Institute of Technology has helped us create this wonderful resource for our students.”Udacity has also partnered with 120 employer-partner companies that includes AT&T, Google, Facebook, Mercedes-Benz, and NVIDIA.
