Ubisoft teams up with Nvidia to bring special effects to PC version of Watch Dogs

Not only is the PC version of upcoming open-world dystopian epic Watch Dogs launching at the same time as the console versions, the company is also adding a few bonuses for the PC version of the game. According to a post on the Nvidia blog, the graphics company and Ubisoft are teaming up to bring these bonuses to the PC version of the game. This essentially means that the PC version will look the best when compared to all of the other versions.

Sadly enough, Nvidia hasn't revealed any specific details about the bonus features, but has mentioned that it will be getting exclusive effects and technologies. The company has also announced that Assassin's Creed 4: Black Flag and Splinter Cell: Blacklist will also be getting these bonuses. Typically, Nvidia's features tend to include its own proprietary anti-aliasing technology TXAA (Temporal Anti-Aliasing), support for Nvidia SLI and HBOA+.

Recently, Ubisoft had announced that it is working on a movie based on Watch Dogs. The movie will act as a supplement to the game. The project will be overseen at Ubisoft by the company’s film and TV division, Ubisoft Motion Pictures. At Columbia, Minghella and Sam Dickerman will oversee development while Alexandra Milchan and Andrew Calof will work on the film for New Regency.

“Since both Sony and Ubisoft have movie and video game branches, this deal creates exceptional opportunities for us to merge the realms of the story-based cinematic experience with the interaction of the video game,” said Jean-Julien Baronnet, CEO of Ubisoft Motion Pictures.

Watch Dogs is hitting PC, Wii U, PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 on November 19. The next-gen versions of the game are expected to be out when the respective consoles hit store shelves.
