Ubisoft releases story trailer for Assassin's Creed 4, announces global release date

Ubisoft has released a new video for the upcoming Assassin’s Creed 4: Black Flag. Titled the Edward Kenway Story Trailer, the video appropriately gives us a glimpse at the protagonist’s story. Much like any other Assassin’s Creed game, we see the main character, Edward Kenway, go through a life of piracy and debauchery until a life-changing event happens, after which he dons the Assassin’s robe and takes to hunting Templars.

Along with the trailer, Ubisoft has also announced a new release date for the game. Assassin’s Creed 4: Black Flag will hit PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 all over the world on October 29. PC, Wii U and the next-gen Xbox One and PlayStation 4 will get the game on November 22.

Recently, Ubisoft unveiled the Assassin's Creed Heritage Collection, which is slated for a November 8 release on PC, PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360.  It will cost Rs 2,999 on the consoles, but sadly, no pricing for the PC version in India has been announced yet.

The Heritage Collection consists of five of the major games from the Assassin’s Creed franchise; Assassin’s Creed, Assassin’s Creed 2 Game of the Year Edition, Assassin’s Creed Brotherhood, Assassin’s Creed Revelations and Assassin’s Creed 3. Except for Assassin’s Creed 3, all of the games will come with their respective DLC packs.

The Assassin’s Creed series deals with a secret war that has lasted for millennia between the Assassins and the Templars. The Assassins seek to fight for the free will of people, while the Templars seek to bring peace to the world by taking the free will away.
