Uber drivers now need to spend less time driving to their next rider
if an Uber driver has headed out with a certain destination in mind, all the driver has to do is enter that destination and Uber does the rest.
Uber seems to be working towards bettering the experience for the rider. It now appears to be taking a closer look at the chauffeur's experience. A new feature launched for Uber drivers, will now let them find more trips along the way to their destination instead of riding all the way to their next rider. What this means is that if an Uber driver has headed out with a certain destination in mind, all the driver has to do is enter that destination and Uber does the rest. The Uber app will then find customers who are headed in a similar direction, saving time for the Uber, driver letting him/her reach their destination as well.In the current scenario, Uber drivers usually drive about finding their next customer wasting fuel in order to get to them (at the other end of town). So the new feature indeed saves a lot of time and money. As of now Uber is testing the new feature only for drivers in the San Francisco’s Bay Area but certainly has plans to take it to larger markets soon.
