Reports have surfaced of an Uber driver, named Kuldeep, being shot to death by two of his passengers in New Delhi. The police have tracked down both passengers via Uber's records and have the two in custody. The alleged killers are thought to be in their teens and it's not clear yet if they are minors.Details of the tragic event aren't forthcoming at the moment. What we do know is that the passengers boarded the Uber vehicle at Najafgarh in southwest Delhi. The passengers reportedly got into a fight with the driver and in the midst of the journey, shot the driver. The driver passed away at the hospital that he was taken to.This incident occurred on the night of 6 April.Traditionally, we've seen Uber drivers accused of taking advantage of passengers, going to the extent of raping and even killing some of their passengers. Uber has been introducing safety measures that would help improve passenger safety in the country.Uber is yet to respond on the incident. We will update accordingly.
