According to KGI analyst Ming-Chi Kuo, Apple will launch two Watch versions this year. Kuo predicted the same in a note to investors, stating that one will come with minor updates, while the second will pack in some new features.Starting with the model with minor upgrades, think of it as an S version of the iPhone. It will feature a TSMC-made processor built on the 16nm process. The new refreshed Apple Watch will feature better waterproofing as well.Apple Watch bands_largeComing to the new model, which has been tagged as the Watch 2, Kuo claims that it will pack in new hardware features such as a GPS, a barometer and a higher capacity battery life as well. So with a bigger or a longer last battery, will Apple's Watch get any slimmer?The answer is NO.Oddly, the analyst also claimed that both models will not feature any new designs. Similar to the Apple iPhone that will get a design refresh in 2018, the Apple Watch is also expected to get the same treatment. Expect a design refresh for the Apple Watch only in 2017.So what happens about the 2017 models? Well, Kuo claims that the next big step for Apple would be to add LTE support to the device.Fancy using an Apple Watch without an accompanying iPhone? Well, that's coming next year!
