Twitter rolls out updates for Android and iOS apps

The Twitter bird has updated its Android and iOS apps...

Earlier, when you tried to add a photograph to your tweet via the Twitter mobile app, you were given only a cropped preview of the image. The Twitter update fixes that and provides a full preview of any photograph that you may want to upload. The new update also makes uploading a much easier process, where users simply have to use a button at the bottom right corner of the compose box for a new tweet. Additionally, if you want to upload an image you have shot, you can see your camera roll appearing below the compose window, thus letting you select your desired image quickly.

Another add-on is the ability able to see your avatar and username on the page when creating a new tweet. As said earlier, people with multiple linked Twitter accounts can easily switch between accounts by simply tapping on the avatar. This add-on also makes it easier to track which account you may have tweeted from, because of the visible avatar and username. This will definitely help prevent overlaps between your personal and business accounts.

With a lot of focus being put on privacy now, Twitter has added the ability to remove location information from individual tweets while in the compose box stage itself. Thus, if a users do not want to share their location, they can easily turn off the location sharing mode temporarily for that particular tweet.

The detailing on the notifications drawer has also been worked on, with users now being able to see more information about individual Twitter interactions for Android users.

All this and more can be seen in the updated app. All you need to do is go to the App Store or Google Play and download the updated Twitter app.
