Enthusiasts of Chirp, Twitter’s one year old developer conference will be in for some disappointment when they learn that Chirp will not happen this year. Instead, the enterprising developers themselves decided to, on July 26th this year, in San Francisco; begin the Twitter Developer Summit. The Summit will throw its doors open to budding Twitter developers.Chirp, not this year!

Chirp, not this year!

The Summit is being operated and owned by Engage Digital Media, a popular trade events provider; and is not an affiliate of Twitter. The developers plan to gauge the developing ecosystem, and Twitter’s role in it. The developers also see this as an opportunity to network with like-minded developers, and who knows begin a new idea from there. The Summit is expected to have some of the best names in the business on their participants list. These names include – hootsuite, keepstream, KLOUT, co tweet, and Bottlenose among others.
