Twitter communications boss, Natalie Kerris leaves the company

Natalie Kerris, VP of communications for Twitter, an Apple veteran hired to head the PR team, has left the company. She joined Twitter in February amidst much fanfare when the company was going through stagnant growth. She served for 14 years at Apple before joining Twitter. Kerris was actively being considered as someone who would help kickstart growth and cure the lull in the company.Kerris was hired after a major internal shakeup at Twitter as the company struggled to define its focus. The company shifted its focus to live video with Periscope from the short video format of Vines. The financial results continue to show the dismal outlook of the company in terms of growth and future plans for the company. High-profile incidents involving harassment of Leslie Jones and the blocking of Milo Yiannopoulos did little to help the company. As Kerris moves out, it is important to note that her predecessor, Gabriel Stricker was forced out.After the announcement of Natalie's departure, Twitter sent a statement "During her time leading communications at Twitter, Natalie helped us share the Twitter story with the world. We are grateful for her energy and enthusiasm and the impact she's had, even in this short time. We wish her all the best," as reported by Business Insider.
