Tweetdeck for iPhone and Evernote for Mac Get Major Updates

Tweetdeck brings a completely new design and Evernote adds voice recording.

Tweetdeck for iPhone and Evernote for Mac got major updates. Tweetdeck version 2.0, for starters, has a completely new layout, it is iOS 4 compatible, it has added support for gestures, swipe-friendly navigation and columns can now be customized. The last feature means that you can have one column that displays results from a Twitter search, another column that displays direct messages from one particular user and a Facebook newsfeed, both in one. Other changes include being able to tweet longer with built in deck.ly, being able to customize columns with one touch and the ability to view full conversations in tweet details. The app is a complete redo of its predecessor and you actually need to uninstall the original Tweetdeck to get the new version. It's available in the App store.

The other app that got a big update is Evernote for Mac. The new version includes Facebook and Twitter note sharing ability and voice recording. It includes a Share button in the top menu that allows you to share your notes to Facebook, Twitter and other social networks. The other, more exciting feature is that users can now click the Audio Note microphone icon to attach audio to notes. While recording audio, you can simultaneously add text. Audio Notes is accessible to all users. Free users get 25 MB of audio recording (about 2 hours) and Premium users get 50 MB (about 4 hours of audio recording).

Paddy does not, we repeat, definitely does NOT belong in the category of Mac-head (yeh right!).
