The Apple iPhone 7 and 7 Plus launched in India on 7 October at 7PM. Majority of the buyers who had pre-booked their iPhones over a month ago with retailers, had to wait in queues to receive their handsets. But a select group of consumers who pre-booked their iPhone 7 / 7 Plus on Tata CLiQ got them delivered to their homes by CLiQ's leadership team across Delhi, Mumbai and Bengaluru.The first iPhone 7 was delivered at 7.05PM to a lady in Bengaluru by Dharmarajan K, head of CS and customer experience at Tata CLiQ. CEO of CLiQ Ashutosh Pandey handed over devices to customers at Mumbai's Croma stores at 7PM.A customer, who was handed an iPhone 7 by Pratyusha Agarwal, head of marketing at Tata CLiQ, said that he was excited to receive the phone. "I bought an iPhone 7 for my mom as a surprise at Tata CLiQ and for myself from another website. I thought it would take 4-5 days to get delivered but I am super excited to have this for my mom the very same day," said the consumer.Speaking on the Apple iPhone 7 sale, Pandey said, "It is a big honour and priority for us to deliver delightful consumer experiences at Tata CLiQ. Our consumers have shown great interest and high rates of adoption in our Phygital proposition as compared to competition and these kinds of experiences give an opportunity to build a bond with our consumers and most importantly understand them better."
