TAG Heuer Android Wear watch to launch in November for $1,400

After TAG Heuer announced that it will be teaming up with Intel to make a luxurious smartwatch, the company is has now reportedly announced that this smartwatch will launch sometime during October-November and will have a price tag of $1,400.In an interview with Bloomberg, CEO of TAG Heuer, Jean-Claude Biver states that, TAG Heuer’s smartwatch battery will last for about 40 hours, compared to the Apple Watch, which is designed to last 18 hours.He hopes that Apple sells millions of smartwatches and quoted, "The more they sell, the more a few people will want something different and come to TAG Heuer." Biver also points out that the Apple's new watch might attract a younger audience, who are more interested in wearing watches for the first time.A report by Android Police highlights that, it would be rather interesting to see how the company distinguishes its Android Wear offering from the likes of LG and Motorola. At the end, all Swiss watches are generally sold at a premium based on their 'superior craftsmanship' and the complexity and accuracy of their mechanical movements. Further details or specifications for the smartwatch weren't disclosed.
