Surfaced iPhone 5 Cases Rumoured to Have an Edge-to-Edge Screen

With more rumours coming in about Apple’s new iPhone 5, MobileFun, one of UK’s largest phone accessories manufacturers, have come up with a new leaked image design for iPhone 5 cases. Apparently, these cases have helped in deducing a number of new additions for Apple’s new phone. Earlier, they had released accurate images for Apple’s soon-to-released iPad2, so the source does seem to be reliable.

From these images, it seems like the iPhone 5 will sport a curved design like the earlier iPhone 3G. Also, as part of the redesign, all the side buttons seem to have been flipped over to the opposite side and a new edge-to-edge screen has been added, which has been enlarged from 3.7-inches to a size of 4-inches.

Another version of the case design

Another rumour, which we could not identify via the leaked case design, is that the iPhone 5 will have a capacitive strip, or a ‘touch sensitive ovaloid area’, according to Mobile Fun. This touch sensitive capacitive area will replace the earlier home button placement and will allow users to use gesture control functions to operate the phone. This does seem like good news for those of you who are tired of the same old ‘four-button’ Android smart phones, having similar structures and barely varying in terms of specs.

If these rumours are indeed true, it does indicate a very exciting and ‘fresh’ release from Apple, this September.
