Square Enix details digital deluxe Master Thief edition of Thief

Publisher Square Enix, along with developer Eidos Montreal, has revealed that the digital download version of the Master Thief edition of the upcoming Thief will be available on February 25. Since it’s a digital version, the Master Thief edition will only be available for PC gamers. Currently, it is available on the Square Enix store as a pre-order.

Features a bank heist!

The Master Thief Edition includes a digital copy of the official art book, a digital comic, a booster pack, the original soundtrack and an extra mission—The Bank Heist. The art book has a bunch of concept art. The digital comic will expand the world’s backstory. The booster pack has a bunch of in-game consumable items that can empower protagonist Garrett and hasten players’ progression through the game. The soundtrack is exactly what you think it is—a collection of the music features in the game.

The unimaginatively-named Bank Heist mission has you infiltrate the City’s most secure location—Stonemarket First Bank—to steal a coveted family heirloom called the Star of Auldale. The bank has a bunch of new gameplay mechanics where players will have to avoid and circumvent unique security measures that aren’t present anywhere else in the game. It also features unique loot, as well as some more universe-building backstory. The mission acts as a homage to the Bank mission in Thief 2: The Metal Age.

Thief is going to hit stores in February 2014. It will be available on Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, Xbox One, PlayStation 4 and PC.
