Photography-wise, the Z1 comes with a 20.7 megapixel primary camera with the company’s patent G Lens as well as a 2 megapixel front shooter. Connectivity-wise, all the usual suspects are available like Wi-Fi and NFC, with LTE cellular connectivity also thrown in. Rounding up the package is a fairly competent 3,000mAh battery.

Users in the mood for a splash of colour can opt for the Z1 in a purple avatar, apart from the standard black and white colour variants. While there is no official word about the price tag of the Xperia Z1, a look at Sony’s track record as well as the launch price of the earlier Xperia Z makes it possible that the launch price of the Xperia Z1 may fall in the Rs 45,000 bracket, give or take a couple thousand.
