Sony Unveils the Sharp Shooter

Now that Sony’s motion controlled technology, the Move has hit the market, it was only a matter of time before both first and third party attachments hit stores. While there are plenty of handgun attachments for the Move, Sony’s unveiled the ‘baap’ of all controllers for Killzone 3 - dubbed the Sharp Shooter.

Be the excellence of execution

Out in time for Sony’s highly anticipated first person shooter, the Sharp Shooter will hold both the Move as well as the Navigation controller. It features "a digital trigger, realistic pump action, firing mode selector, and an adjustable shoulder stock." John Koller, director of hardware marketing at SCEA explains the ideology that went behind making this controller: "PlayStation Move was designed with the goal of providing the most engaging and intuitive motion gaming experience possible, from a diverse range of genres. When coupled with stereoscopic 3D support, such as in Killzone 3, the PlayStation Move Sharp Shooter represents a new step toward the ultimate goal of any cutting-edge video game: placing players directly in the game."

According to ArsTechnica, the controller will set you back by $39.99 (Rs. 1,800 approximately) and will be released sometime in February 2011 to coincide with Killzone 3’s release. Oh and the controller is not limited to first party games only. It seems the Sharp Shooter is fully compatible with EA’s upcoming survival horror, Dead Space 2 as well.
