Sony PlayStation 2 games now ready to run on PlayStation 4

Sony has announced the first batch of classic PS2 games that are ready to run on PS4.  Sony has listed the games in a blogpost.The list includes:Dark Cloud — $14.99Grand Theft Auto III — $14.99Grand Theft Auto: Vice City — $14.99Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas — $14.99Rogue Galaxy — $14.99The Mark of Kri — $14.99Twisted Metal: Black — $9.99War of the Monsters — $9.99It has also listed PaRappa the Rapper 2 and The King of Fighters 2000 as coming soon, and available to play at the PlayStation Experience show."You will be able to experience all of these PS2 games like never before — in up-rendered 1080p with the features you expect from a PS4 game including Remote Play, Live Broadcast, Share Play, Activity Feeds, and Second Screen support for game manuals with PlayStation Vita or PlayStation App," it further explained in the blogpost.A report last week had revealed that Sony plans to use PS2 emulation software aboard its PS4 to run older titles.   Eurogamer had discovered, the games are not new ports of old code, but old code itself. This clearly means that the Sony PlayStation 4 uses emulation software to get the job done easier. What this also indicates is that almost every other PS2 title should also be playable once the software goes wide.
