As the year end approaches, Facebook has made its Year in Review tool available for everyone to go through some of their most memorable stories of the year. The tool auto-builds a personalised timeline, containing the most popular stories from the year that you can relive and share.

This is the second tiime that Facebook has made the Year in Review tool available for use to all users. You can not just go through your own top stories but even your friends’ highlights for the years. Of course, standard privacy settings apply to this tool. So if you’ve shared a particular story with only a handful of people and it is mentioned on the page, it will be visible only to those people.Check out your most popular posts from this year

Here’s how you can go ahead and check out your own Year in Review. When you see your profile now, you will find the “See your Year in Review” button located below your profile picture. Hit the button and check out a whole new timeline dedicated to the best posts on your profile that year. These will include status updates, images and check-ins, amongst other stories.

You can share your Year in Review page on your Time Line for your friends to see. Alternatively, from the same personalised page, you can check out what your friends have been up to this year by clicking the “Your Friends in 2013” button. Posts that have had high engagement and have been very popular will feature prominently on this page.

Intrigued by all things social, Nishtha will invariably tweet about you. When not tweeting or writing about the next viral video, you will hear her proclaiming her love to Metallica, James Hetfield, Opeth, Akerfeldt and all bands that go 'growl'. She also obsesses about ACP Pradyuman and South Park and you will always find her moving around with a book. Her focus is on all the happening stuff in the tech domain, and she won't hesitate to take a shot at some of the oddball devices that make their way to our labs.
