Samsung finally started the roll-out of the Android 8.0 update for its Galaxy S8 and S8 Plus smartphones. But the joy was short-lived as almost immediately, the South Korean mobile giant pulled the updates.[caption id="attachment_3988969" align="alignleft" width="380"]The Samsung Galaxy S8

The Samsung Galaxy S8[/caption]According to Sammobile, the update was reportedly causing some phones to reboot randomly. Now Samsung has said that it is going to roll out a fixed version of the update "as quickly as possible". The report says that only a limited number of S8 and S8 Plus devices were affected by the update. The update was also not a global roll-out and was limited to a few countries, such as India and some European countries. This would mean that the buggy update has not hit a majority of the users and those that already have the buggy software have no choice but to wait for a fix from Samsung. The update, which was released on 8 February, did not have added support for Project Treblewhich we think is likely because of hardware limitations. There were also rumours that Android Oreo would bring portrait mode for the front camera, however, that rumour was found to be untrue.
