We already know of most of the handsets Samsung showcased at MWC 09. Being primarily of the touchscreen segment, they also appeared to be a little pricey although there’s been no official word on most of their prices just yet or the availability of the same in India. However, I’m sure we’ve pretty much had enough of the high priced touchscreen handsets and I’ve personally been looking forward to a few that would be priced in an affordable segment like LG’s Cookie.

Reports are in that Samsung will also have a low budget touchscreen handset that would probably be able to compete with the Cookie. The handset that did make an appearance at MWC was called the S5600. There was no official statement about the handset made by Samsung even though it was there for the world to see. According to the same reports the handset will be running on Samsung’s TouchWiz User Interface and be 3G compatible. That’s about all that’s said about the handset.
