Samsung Galaxy Tab Gingerbread Update Rolling Out
Indian Tab users to get updated by the end of May.

With the 8.9 and 10.1 variants of the Galaxy Tab in the news recently, the original 7-inch Galaxy Tab has kinda drifted off onto the backburner. However, it’s now back to the forefront thanks to news that the Gingerbread update for the Samsung Galaxy Tab P1000 is now rolling out.![A little bit of Honeycomb for you...]()

A little bit of Gingerbread for you...
According to Unwired View, users over at the Androidiani Forum have reported that Italian users of the Galaxy Tab are indeed receiving the Gingerbread update. It’s not an over-the-air update though, and users have had to go through Kies to get some Gingerbread lovin’.
There has been no word on the update hitting other places as of yet, but according to AndroidOS.in, the update is expected to hit India by the end of this month. While the fact that it’s not a Honeycomb update is a bit disappointing, an update is an update nonetheless and we’ll take Gingerbread over FroYo.
