Samsung Galaxy S8 pre-order pricing in UK hints at Rs 65,000 starting price for the device
Pre-order price for the Samsung Galaxy S8 in UK has leaked, and it is going to be an expensive deal.
The official Samsung Galaxy S8 unveiling is still a few days away and by now we have almost everything around the upcoming flagship. Ranging from specifications, press renders and hands-on pictures, the only thing left to reveal is the pricing.UK based retailer MobileFun has given us a bit of detail on this as well as it has reportedly started taking pre-orders. The cost is said to be £799 (Rs 65,000 approx) for the 64GB 5.8-inch version, which is the regular S8, and £899 for the S8 Plus (Rs 73,000 approx). That is a steep price considering that last year the Galaxy S7 was quoted at £549 (Rs 45,000 approx) the S7 Edge at £639 (Rs 52,000 approx).The Galaxy S8 is suppose to make an appearance on 29 March at a special 'Unpacked' event along with the Galaxy S8 Plus. The smartphones are expected to sport curved-edge Super Amoled displays and will be powered by Snapdragon 835 processors. Samsung will finally say goodbye to the front home button and will offer super slim bezels. Other expected features include Samsung's own virtual assistant Bixby, the latest Android Nougat OS, a USB Type-C port, IP68 certification and improved camera performance.Samsung is expected to put the Galaxy S8 and S8 Plus in stores a month after it announces the smartphones, which means that markets will start getting the handset on 28 April.
