There have been rumours that Samsung has been working on a bunch of new smartphones under the Galaxy S4 branding – namely, the S4 Zoom, S4 Mini and the S4 Active. According to TechCrunch, however, the S4 Active has been more or less confirmed. The handset has been listed on the website of the Bluetooth Special Interest Group. The listing essentially means that the phone has gotten its Bluetooth certification. It won't be long before Samsung officially announces the existence of the phone.
The S4 Active is said to be a ruggedised version of the S4. It will have a shock-resistant design and will bear the IP certifications to make it waterproof and dustproof. The handset's codename is GT-I9295 and, as per an earlier report, it will be available in Metallic Orange.
All of this – the waterproof and dustproof design – put the Galaxy S4 Active in direct competition with Sony's flagship Xperia Z, as well as the recently-announced Xperia ZR. If Samsung manages to avoid Sony's missteps, the company could have a winner in its hands.
The S4 line-up is getting significantly expanded
Along with the S4 Active, Samsung is also working on the S4 Zoom and the S4 Mini.

The S4 Zoom is said to have 8GB of internal storage and a microSD slot that can be used to expand memory by up to 64GB. Connectivity options include Bluetooth 4.0 LE, Wi-Fi and A-GPS.
It will come out of the box running on Android Jelly Bean with Samsung's own TouchWiz Nature UX. The processor and RAM haven't yet been decided on, but it will be a safe bet to assume at least 1GB of RAM and either a dual-core or a quad-core processor.
It is rumoured that Samsung will be unveiling the S4 Zoom before the summer ends, while the phone itself is said to hit store shelves around June/July. The codename of the handset is SM-C1010, and it will be available in black and white colour options.
