Samsung’s first phone with a curved display is now official. The neat device, called the Samsung Galaxy Round, with a 5.7-inch 1080p display has already been announced in Korea. While it looks quite similar to a Samsung Galaxy Note 3 or a Samsung Galaxy S4, it is visibly curved and looks slightly like a cradle.

Now, any new Samsung device usually causes a bit of a buzz on social networking websites like Twitter, but thanks to its drastic new looks, Twitter has been set alight by the Samsung Galaxy Round. Check out what the Interwebz has to say about the world’s first curved smartphone.

Of course, like the funny guys that there are on Twitter, the tweets ranged from being funny to making interesting observations in their inimitable style:
There were some who were disappointed that the phone was named “Round”, when, clearly, the phone is curved:
Some were very, very angry or completely disappointed with Samsung’s effort with Galaxy Round.
There was one person who was really amazed with the technology that reprised a popular book series for him:
It was still followed by more disappointment, this time, about the price of the product that is in the vicinity of $1,000 (Rs. 62,945 approx.)
The obligatory comparison with Apple, this time, as a spoof.
To top it off, Joanna Stern of ABC News came up with a brilliant image to explain Samsung’s device strategy.
