Samsung DeX Pad render leak reveals new design and a lack of ethernet port

Reputed tipster Evan Blass has tweeted out a couple of renders of what could possibly be the desktop docking station for the upcoming Samsung flagship, the Galaxy S9. The new dock, according to Blass, is being called as the DeX Pad and it has a couple of things different from the previous version.[caption id="attachment_4343539" align="alignleft" width="380"] DeX Pad render. Evan Blass[/caption]For one, the new dock has abandoned the approach of connecting the phone in an upright position as seen on the Galaxy S8 and instead the new S9 will be connected in a flat position. This way the phone's display can be used as a touchpad. Evan Blass[/caption]In the renders, we can see a redesigned ventilation port, two USB ports and 2 USB Type C ports for power input along with an HDMI port. More importantly, we see that the Galaxy S9 docked in the DeX Pad and it clarifies an important thing for us. The Galaxy S9 is not dispensing off with the 3.5 mm headphone jack.Leaked photos of batteries and their mounting mechanism suggest that the upcoming Samsung Galaxy S9 and S9+ will have the same capacity batteries as the previous model.The leaked images, posted on Slashleaks, indicate that the two phones will come equipped with 3,000 mAh and 3,500 mAh batteries.
