Samsung ChatON releases for Android, facing problems already

Samsung has finally released their alternative to BBM, iMessage and the whole range of chat applications currently available across platforms with the new ChatON application, as reported by Sammyhub. What sets this application apart from BBM and iMessage in particular is that Samsung has been liberal with other platforms as well. Currently, ChatON supports Android, Bada, Samsung feature phones, and it will support iOS and Blackberry OS soon.

The user interface

Also, there are multiple ways to communicate with the 1:1 Chat, group chat, broadcasts, animation messages, pictures, videos, audio, location info, contacts and calendar sharing. A new drawing feature has been included as well and users can create their own animated message and send them across to their friends. As seen from the picture, an interaction rank tab will give you details about how often you interact with your friends.

However, soon after its release, the app has been facing a lot of flak from customer feedback that have given it an average rating of 2.4 out of 5. Users have been complaining that no verification or activation codes have been sent that has left early downloaders fuming. It seems like a temporary issue and we’re hoping Samsung comes up with a fix soon.
