Samsung announces its high-end flip phone in China; packs Snapdragon 821 and 4 GB RAM

Samsung has announced its long awaited ‘flip phone’, the Leader 8 in the Chinese market. The company released the specs of this smartphone on its website for Chinese region. According to the listing, the smartphone or ‘flip phone’ in this case with code name SM-G9298 packs a 4.2-inch Super AMOLED display panel with FHD resolution.[caption id="attachment_3891663" align="alignleft" width="380"] Image Credit: Samsung China[/caption]The device is powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 821 with 4 GB RAM and 64 GB internal storage. The phone also sports an expandable storage slot so that users can add a microSD card to expand their storage.One interesting thing to note here is that the device is made from ‘aviation-grade’ aluminum alloy. Moving on to the camera section, the company has packed about 12 MP camera module with f/1.7 aperture for better low-light photos, on the back of the smartphone. The company has not announced any details about availability or pricing at the time of writing. Last but not the least, the smartphone will only be available in ‘Black’ colour.
