This year has been bleak for two franchises in particular, Prey 2 first put on indefinite hold and now, S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2 that’s been cancelled. According to GameInformer, developer GSC Game World has been shut down and work on the sequel has been stopped. However certain members from GSC Game World have started their own studio called Vostok Games who may still work on a game in the S.T.A.L.K.E.R. universe (kind of). That really doesn't seem like good cover

Their first project, a free to play (F2P) MMO called Survarium is a spiritual successor to S.T.A.L.K.E.R. that they’ve been working on for the past ten years. It seems the game will take place in and around the highly radiated Chernobyl zone and will push players to the brink of survival.

Coming back to S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2, VG24/7 got their hands on a rumor that states the franchise may now be sold to none other than Bethesda Games. If true, I’d say the franchise is in good hands as Bethesda have experience not only working with the open-world genre but with post-apocalyptic scenarios as well.

Nash, as he prefers being called, woke up to the wonders of gaming rather late but don't bring that up around him. It's a touchy subject. A self confessed Battlefield veteran, Nash spent a good part of 2010 on the Steam Battlefield - with Bad Company (see what we did there?). He has a zero tolerance policy towards RTS games but is currently showing an interest by picking up and moving people - who he refers to as units - in the office. Thank God he's not that enthusiastic about Angry Birds or we'd be seeing women flying all over the place. Bali... Bali, put the receptionist down now.
