Rumours claim iPhone 5 was held back due to poor LTE connections

Back in October, when the iPhone 4S was launched; many predicted that Apple was intending to launch an iPhone 5 along with it. This version of the iPhone was believed to feature a drastic design change along with bumped up specifications as compared with the iPhone 4. However, at the keynote event, Apple only launched the iPhone 4S, which looks almost identical to the iPhone 4. This disappointed many out there and even though the 4S has been flying off the shelves, many wanted a different looking handset. According to a report by iPhone5latest, it appears that Apple had indeed intended on launching an iPhone 5, but was delayed due to Verizon’s 4G LTE connections.

The report claims that Apple had nothing to do with delaying the launch of the iPhone 5. Instead it was the problematic connection of Verizon’s 4G LTE networks that caused the delay. The report goes on to state, “several instances of downtime of the 4G networks led iPhone 5 makers to delay the launch until the network becomes more robust to handle huge traffic.”
