Resident Evil Revelations HD demo will be out on May 14

Capcom has announced that the demo for the HD version of its upcoming game – Resident Evil Revelation – will be hitting download services on May 14 and 15, depending on the console. Xbox, PC and Wii U players will be able to grab the demo from their respective services on May 14, while PlayStation 3 gamers will get the demo the next day. The game itself is slated to hit store shelves on May 24.

The survival horror game takes players back to the events that took place between Resident Evil 4 and Resident Evil 5, revealing the truth about the T-Abyss virus. Resident Evil Revelations features series favourites Jill Valentine and Chris Redfield, plus their respective BSAA partners – Parker Luciani and Jessica Sherawat.

The action begins onboard a supposedly abandoned cruise ship, the "Queen Zenobia", where horrors lurk around every corner before players head for the mainland and the devastated city of Terragrigia. With limited ammo and weapons available, the race is on to survive the horror of Resident Evil Revelations.

Resident Evil Revelations is set to take advantage of Capcom’s online service – Residentevil.net – with content available to users once the game launches. Players can pre-register on the service from January 24 onwards to gain early access to Resident Evil Revelations themed content with further information about online events to be revealed closer to launch.

Back in February, Capcom had released a trailer that showed the character Hunk as he kills what the game calls "the ooze" in Raid Mode. Raid Mode is where players fight through hordes of zombies in isolated challenge maps. It follows a score-attack format and grades players on their performance. Enemies also have unique properties, such as being small, swift or extremely durable. Raid Mode can be played in co-op.
