Reliance Comm to Acquire Digicable

Reliance Communications said it approved a proposal to acquire cable television services provider Digicable in an all-stock deal for an undisclosed amount.

Reliance Communications on Thursday said it has approved a proposal to acquire cable television services provider Digicable in an all-stock deal for an undisclosed amount. India's second-largest cellular carrier will merge its direct-to-home services, internet protocol television services and retail broadband services with Digicable, Reliance Communications said in a statement. The new entity will be named Reliance DigiCom.
