Reeder, Newsify to support Feedly integration before July 1

We are slowly nearing the expiry date of Google Reader service (July 1, for those who don't know), and ever since the news made it out, its loyal users have been looking for suitable alternatives to port to. Feedly for some, has been one such alternative.

During the course of readying their roadmap for the future, the guys at Feedly admitted to have understood that one of the key features of Google Reader was its wholesome ecosystem of apps, and decided to work on something similar for their service. Feedly now reveals in its post that it has been working with the developers of Reeder, Press, Nextgen Reader, Newsify, and gReader as design partners for their Normandy project. Result? Feedly users will be able to access their feeds from all of these apps, before Google Reader goes down. Access to feedly API will be free too, they said.

Speed is at the helm of the Feedly experience for the future, and the company recently got some people onboard, on their dev and ops sides. One of the suggestions they received is to bring the ability to search within one's feedly, while another one of the suggested features has been Windows 8 and Windows Phone support, as also improved group sharing capabilities.

Feedly also received a whole bunch of votes to make the service available as a full web service and not as a plugin or an extension.
