Quake Wars to Grace Next Gen Consoles
Splash Damage's online shooter to be available on XBox 360 and PS3 as well.

As you all know Quake Wars has been pushed back to 2008 but the good news here is that this game is all set to make the transition to next gen consoles, namely the PS3 and the Xbox360. The Xbox360 version will be developed by Nerve Software (Return to Castle Wolfenstein), while Z-Axis (X-men: The Official Game) will handle development for the PS3.
Here's a slight heads up on the game in case you've emerged from a bunker after a couple of years:
Enemy Territory: Quake Wars pits the armies of Earth against the invading alien Strogg in an online strategic shooter. Players choose to battle as one of five unique classes in either the EDF (Earth Defense Force -- humans) or the barbaric alien Strogg armies. Troops use 40+ conventional and futuristic vehicles, deployable structures, and defense systems like quad-bikes, tanks, and alien walkers for epic ground assaults; or helicopters and anti-gravity ships to lend firepower from the air.
Nash, as he prefers being called, woke up to the wonders of gaming rather late but don't bring that up around him. It's a touchy subject. A self confessed Battlefield veteran, Nash spent a good part of 2010 on the Steam Battlefield - with Bad Company (see what we did there?). He has a zero tolerance policy towards RTS games but is currently showing an interest by picking up and moving people - who he refers to as units - in the office. Thank God he's not that enthusiastic about Angry Birds or we'd be seeing women flying all over the place. Bali... Bali, put the receptionist down now.
