With the Indian release of the Sony Ericsson Xperia Play possibly only a short while away, here’s some good news for those looking to play some good games on the device. Games that were released for the original PlayStation have been released on the Android Market, and currently seem exclusive to the Xperia Play.Getting some PSOne lovin'

Five PSOne games – namely Syphon Filter, Cool Boarders 2, Destruction Derby, MediEvil and Jumping Flash - have been spotted on the Android Market, but when you choose to install them, the web version of the Market says the games aren't compatible with most Android devices. The games are priced at GBP3.99, which translates to roughly Rs. 286. That’s not all that bad a price, considering it’s a full fledged console game that you can play on the go.Oops

All is not well in the Droid Universe, however, as Google have removed PSX4Droid from the Market, possibly in preperation for the Xperia Play launch. However, they've left the more popular, better functioning FPSe alone, so it could be a specific problem with PSX4Droid that led to its demise. Either way, it's time to Play!
