PNY launches tinyCube Attaché flash drive for business users

We’ve seen a couple of USB flash drives from the Attache range enter the Indian market. The newest one from the company is for business users, and is called tinyCube Attache. The recent flash drives sport fancy designs and come splashed in vivid hues, but this, it claims, is a no-nonsense, simple cube design, aptly designed for the corporate segment. The tinyCube Attache has been dipped in solid colours of red and black, which symbolizes professional coherence.

Tiny and robust

Needless to say, its utmost portability with a small and ultra-light design blends with ruggedness for prolonged durability, says the company. The strong and rugged polymer body for rough usage has been disguised as a subtle classic appearance. Though the company talks about a cap that snuggly fits and seals off the USB plug, we’d rather prefer a pull-out connector with cap-less design.

Further, it is based on COB packaging technology using A+ grade memory chip, which enables it to be packaged in such tiny dimensions, but ensures good performance. At 4.2 grams, it has a small size of 7mm x 16mm x 31mm. The lanyard slot allows attaching it to a keychain, belt, wallet and so on. The PNY tinyCube Attache can be picked in varying storage sizes depending upon the user’s data requirement, ranging from 2GB to 32GB. This USB 2.0 flash drive is also backwards compatible and with read speeds up to 32 MB/sec and write speeds up to 10 MB/sec. It is compatible with Windows 2000, XP, Vista and 7, and even on Mac OS 10.3 and above.

The last time, we saw the company craft its new flash drive in the form of the limited edition Micro attaché Dragon USB flash drives. With a good 5-year warranty, the 2GB, 4GB and 16GB PNY tinyCube Attache has been priced at Rs.375, Rs.425 and RS.1,300, respectively.
