PNY launches Attaché flash drive combining USB and a whistle

PNY further extends its Attaché line-up in the Indian market with its new Whistle Attaché USB drive. Interestingly and we just can’t fathom why, it has been designed by combining a whistle and USB together. The company calls it creative, but we wonder who would require a whistle in their day-to-day life. With a metallic enclosure, the drive has a smooth texture for a firm and easy grip, which also ensures protection against external damaging factors and by that we mean the usual knocks and bumps.

The Whistle Attaché' goes a step ahead, while protecting itself from damages by incorporating water and shock resistant abilities. To turn it into a fashionable accessory it is accompanied by a beaded chain that can be worn around the neck. That said, more than an accessory, it looks like an accessorized whistle plus USB drive on a school camp. Needless to say, the company targets children, woman and sports enthusiasts with this USB/accessory. It has also managed to pass the RoHS test for non-toxic concern. In the last couple of months, the company has launched several flash drives in the Indian market, like the TinyCube for business users, the HP metallic pen drive and the limited edition dragon flash drive.

The Whistle Attaché drive provides storage space, starting at 4GB up to 32GB and offers compatibility with Windows 2000, Windows XP, Windows Vista, Windows 7, Mac OS: 10.3 and above. Designed as a fashion accessory, it tips the scale at 3.4 grams for easily carrying it around your neck. It is backed by a 5 year warranty and also claims to make an ideal gift. The 4GB, 8GB, 16GB and 32GB Attaché USB Flash Drive has been priced at Rs.425, Rs.700, Rs.1,300 and Rs.2,500, respectively.
