The IFA 2011 is just around the corner and consumer electronics bigwig Samsung is set to launch an array of products.

According to a report by Mai Nguyen, this handset is said to run on Android 2.3 aka Gingerbread. The smartphone is said to be powered by a 1.4 GHz single core processor and features a 5 megapixel camera. The Samsung Galaxy W which was codenamed GT - I8150 is to be one of the four mid range handsets set to debut at IFA along with a range of smartphones. Other specifications of this sub-Rs. 20k smartphone are a 3.7-inch WVGA screen, support for HSDPA packets with speeds up to 14.4 MB/s. No more information is available on the Samsung Galaxy W. All we have to do is wait and watch for the full details of the handset to be revealed in September.
The Internationale Funkausstellung Berlin (IFA) is an annual event that is going to be held from the 2nd to the 7th of September in Berlin, Germany. Samsung along with LG, Panasonic, Sony and a host of other manufacturers will be displaying their new technologies.
