Pentax Introduces 6 New Compact Cameras

Along with the D-SLR launch we reported earlier today, Pentax also introduced six consumer-level compact cameras.

The Pentax Optio E20 is an entry-level model that shoots at a resolution of 6 megapixels and offers the barebones 3x optical zoom. What does make the E20 interesting is the 2.4" LCD screen, ACDSee for Pentax as a bundled application and Pict-Bridge support. Can be yours for Rs 11,499 (MRP).

If watersports is your thing, then you may want to take a look at the Pentax Optio W20 waterproof digicam. You can take these babies with you into a swimming pool or scuba diving (not too deep), without an additional underwater casing or housing. The 7 megapixel resolution and blur reduction technology make it a good deal either-way. At Rs 21,999 MRP, you can go crazy with the underwater pics.

For those sick of the low battery life their current digicams offer, there's the Pentax Optio M20, which offers extended battery life with just 2 AA batteries. The 7 megapixel resolution, 3x optical zoom and a 2.5" LCD screen makes it a pretty decent buy at its Rs 13,499 MRP.
