Opera mini Making its Way onto INQ Phones

Opera and INQ today announced a tie up which will lead to Opera mini being bundled with and pre-installed on INQ’s mobile phones. INQ, which recently shot into the limelight for announcing their Facebook-heavy social networking phones, has now got another popular internet name under its umbrella.

"INQ has been born out of the Internet, and having a great browser for mobile has been something we wanted to get right,” said Frank Meehan, INQ CEO. “We’ve worked with some great partners in the development of the INQ Cloud Touch, and Opera has been one which shares similar values around making things fast and simple."

"At Opera, we are always trying to get our browsers on as many devices as possible, and we are excited to work with INQ and serve its customers," said Lars Boilesen, CEO, Opera Software.

The handsets with Opera mini pre-installed will start rolling out this month in the UK, with Australia and other markets set to follow. The handsets will include INQ’s Android-powered phones, as well as their features phones powered by the BREW OS.
