OnePlus has launched Oxygen OS 4.0.1, a bug patching update for OnePlus 3 and 3T

All the past promises about increasing the update speed and improved software support seem to be working as promised by OnePlus. OnePlus announced a bug fixing update to the Android Nougat-based Oxygen OS 4.0 in just a week of the official rollout of the original update. The new version, v4.0.1 comes with a number of bugs reported by the users in a week.The update started rolling out on 7 January in a staged rollout and OnePlus staff member Tony L has detailed the changes done in Oxygen OS 4.0.1. The update is rolling out for both OnePlus 3 as well as OnePlus 3T users.One interesting thing is that this is the first time when OnePlus has published 'Known Issues' because the issues are being caused by bugs in the Android source code which is maintained by Google and not something is caused by the additions done by OnePlus or OxygenOS code. We have added the detailed changelog of the changes in the new update.

The known issues with Oxygen OS 4.0.1 are given below along with possible fixes.

• Apps might not download from Play Store.
• If you are trying to download via Data Roaming, it will not work. This is a known Google issue.
• Try turning on Battery Saving Mode and reset Play Store app preferences.
• If you have these 3 apps installed: Truecaller, AVG Antivirus and PayTm, please try to force stop or uninstall them before performing download from Play Store.
• If you still experience mobile data issues caused by APN, please go to APN settings page and manually choose try all the options.
• WiFi connectivity might still fluctuate.

OnePlus is likely to focus on OnePlus 2 by working on the Android Nougat update for its second device in the market. The company had previously promised that it is planning on Android Nougat update for OnePlus 2.
