The OxygenOS v4.5.5 update for the OnePlus 5 includes improvements to Wi-Fi connectivity

A new update for the OnePlus 5 has been rolled out to users which include improvements to Wi-Fi connectivity, among others smaller fixes. The update to OnePlus' native Oxygen OS is its third in a month's span.The update comes barely a week after OnePlus rolled out v4.5.3. of OxygenOS which included fixes to the sudden Wi-Fi drops taking place for customers. As reported by Android Headlines, the new update seeks to fix other smaller issues, like the Wi-Fi signal being displayed as weak consistently.Oxygen OS v4.5.5. also, includes enhancements in video recording capability of the OnePlus 5, which in turn also optimises battery performance. Voice calls also see an improvement, along with the feedback from the vibration motor which should not be as intense while receiving incoming calls, following the update.The 59 MB update which was rolled out yesterday may not reach all users immediately because of the update being pushed out in batches. Since OnePlus has not made any mention of the update officially, it is not certain that everyone will receive the update. The update is also only for the OnePlus 5 and none of the company's other devices.OnePlus 5 users had earlier reported problems with Wi-Fi connectivity as well as reception issues with the 5 GHz Wi-Fi band.
