OneDrive UWP App now available for Windows 10 users

Microsoft launched their new OneDrive app based on the Universal Windows Platfrom (UWP) for Windows 10 users. The company promised UWP-based versions for all its apps right after the launch of UWP framework.Even though it took them a while, they announced the launch through a blog post on Office Blog. The app brings features such as drag and drop support to app for uploading files and restoring files from Recycle Bin in a touch-friendly environment. These features were earlier limited to web version of OneDrive.Microsoft is shifting it's entire ecosystem to UWP framework to showcase the additional benefits of the framework over Win32 architecture. They announced Project Centennial in BUILD 2016 and launched a preview for the Desktop App Converter.Project Centennial is also known as the all-new Desktop App Converter. Developers could now just pass their earlier code base for the older Win32 apps and games, and the Desktop App Converter will align them with the Modern interface and UWP guidelines that Windows 10 implements. In addition, it provides apps with full access to UWP APIs that include Cortana, Live Tiles and notifications.
