Technology has most definitely brought the world on our fingertips. The technology what we’re just about to show has taken that thought quite literally! On your fingertips, quite literally!

On your fingertips, quite literally!

In display is the world’s first keyglove. An open source hardware project, the keyglove seems to be a potential competitor to the good ol’ keyboard. As the term suggests, the keyglove is a glove which has a series of conductive sensors, which when touched in a set sequence forms a character. As intriguing it sounds, it did capture our interest largely for its novelty. If succeeded, this technology will be one of its kinds and would probably show the doorway to the traditional keyboard, which according to the keyglove innovator can never be too comfortable to use.

The Keyglove is an Arduino and AVR-powered device, with an accelerometer that controls the keystroke movements. Arduino is an open source electronics prototype platform which allows innovators to lend the flexibility to the use of hardware and software. Enabled with over 60 unique touch combinations, it will surely take some trial-and-error steps to get it right. However, the concept of one hand typists surely does promise take us that extra mile.
