On Video: A closer look at the Gionee Elife S5.5's gorgeous design

Gionee launched the world's slimmest smartphone amidst much fanfare in Goa, a couple of days back. We had a chance to play around with the phone at the demo zone and you can check out our first impressions here. The Elife S5.5 looks gorgeous thanks not only to its slim form factor, but also the wonderful build quality, so a video does more justice to the phone.  According to the Gionee design head, Oliver Sha, the phone has an aluminum magnesium alloy build and the metal frame around the phone acts as the antenna. The body contours of the S5.5 are inspired from the earth's Latitudinal and Longitudinal lines. Camera design is supposedly inspired by sailboats against the wind. It uses Corning Gorilla Glass 3 on the front as well as the back. The Gionee Elife S5.5 is expected to start selling from April 27th at Rs 22,999.
