This naming had been seen earlier when the German Amazon website had unveiled a preorder page for the upcoming smartphone where they list the price as well. However, until now, the name had still been shrouded in doubt. But what is actually left to be seen is if Samsung uses the numerical 3 as the name or goes with the Roman number as they have done with the Galaxy S II. In the app page on Google Play, there was no mention of the Galaxy S III name as well, not that it should make much of a difference of course as to what Samsung names it. It was believed that Samsung would take a leaf out of Apple’s page and launch the device simply as the next Galaxy. But this would not make much sense as Samsung has a range of Galaxy smartphone’s ranging across different categories and this would definitely cause some confusion when referring to their upcoming flagship handset.
As of now, we have to just wait and see what Samsung has in store for the world at their Unpacked event. To download this app, head on over to Google Play by hitting the link here.
