Specs and image leak indicates Nokia X2 will have dual-core CPU, 1GB RAM

Nokia had their hands tied when it came to choosing a winning OS for their smartphones in the early days, but since the Nokia X platform, the company has a bit more leeway to experiment in the lower-end segment. While we were not all that impressed with the Nokia X, there has been considerable fanfare and buzz around the new Nokia XL launch. But what next for Nokia's X platform? If a benchmark result posted on Baidu is to be believed, a next-gen Nokia X2 is in the works. The Antutu benchmark scores showed it scored 11827 points, which points to a dual-core processor once again. The Nokia X resembled an Asha 501 in terms of it design and it's likely the X2 will have a similar one-button front. It will also get another home button, according to the leak, along with the back button. It will be powered by a 1.2 GHz dual core, Snapdragon 200(MSM 8210) processor and will reportedly have 1 GB of RAM. The current Nokia X series phones are powered by 1 GHz dual-core Qualcomm Snapdragon S4 play (MSM 8225) and have between 512 and 768 MB of RAM While we don't know anything else about the phone, there's a front-facing camera in the alleged image of the phone. Nokia X was not much of a looker but the X2 promises to be a better in design with a two-tone back cover. The X2 is also rumoured to have 4GB native storage capacity same as the Nokia X, with a MicroSD card slot.
