Nokia Music for Windows Phone 8 gets concert notifications

Nokia has now released a new update for its music streaming service for Windows Phone 8 devices. Nokia Music is a free streaming service that was launched for WP8-enabled Lumia devices users earlier this year. The new update pads that service up with concert notifications as well as new release alerts.

The concert notifications feature alerts music fiends about upcoming gigs taking place in the area. This is a great feature for music fans, as it allows them to quickly get their hands on gig tickets before they’re all sold out. The update also allows users to "Like" a particular artist. Based on playing history and the contents of your music library, the Nokia Music app will also “Like” artists. That means, that every time your favourite artist comes up with some new music, you’ll get a notification.
